## How it works

Merchant settings hold shared account defaults. Individual tabs are visible only when your role can read the corresponding area.

## Implementation

General covers account and checkout defaults. Analytics exclusions change reporting populations. Invoices defines document presentation and tax fields. Audit records changes and their actors. Shop-level overrides may change the effective setting for a storefront, so inspect the shop before editing the account default.
