## How it works

Checkout configuration controls the hosted and embedded page for one shop. Appearance, method layout and variants are related but separate settings.

## Implementation

Use Appearance for the brand and content, Payment methods for arrangement and connector selection, and Targeting or Results for variants. Live preview can include unsaved changes; buyers see the saved configuration. Checkout and connector permissions are separate, so an appearance editor may not be allowed to enable a provider.
